Penang

Today I went to the pearl island for the first time, as I had some work to do in Butterworth. I must say, it looked very much developed. Many cars on the road, sprawling skyscrapers, second bridge in construction, and some ships were docking at its small port.

On our way back to the airport in Bayan Lepas, the taxi driver gave many credits to the DAP government. Since the start of its administration, more foreign firms are setting up factories in the state, federal debts being paid out, and booming economy in general.

But credit must be paid when it is due. I would love to hear from someone who is more critical with the current government. I am deeply skeptical if DAP alone deserves all the praises.

I look forward to a trip to the island again, next month, insya Allah.
