Trend

What is it about the trend, brand, gadget that is rather stupid and USELESS? They have been so embedded into our lives, overshadowing many other more important things. A white shirt may only worth a few pounds, but when slapped with a brand, surprisingly people are willing to buy it for a few hundred pounds even.

What is that? Why do we act this way? Why are we attracted to those superficiality?

Lately, I’ve realised that I should be more selective in my reading. No more newspapers & tabloids, only the Economist, and more quality non-fiction books.

By the way, how on earth do you get away from all those advertisements?
