Ever falling oil cost

One man's meat is indeed another man's poison

Gasoline price in Malaysia had been falling for 6 or 7 times this year alone pumped by the declining global oil demand, caused by the greatest financial crises ever... and while many people are happy for that,..Many others are suffering..

Commodities like palm oil and rubber were greatly affected ... since October, the CPO price has hit a low of RM1,390 a tonne from a high of RM3,500 in mid-June..That means a lot for many impoverished families especially those who're depending almost all their income on palm oil like the Felda settlers..Many were facing as much as two third slash in their income, including my brother's...While gasoline price is the only one to go down, other things stay on the expensive sides...Just as when the gasoline price hit the all time high at RM2.70 per litre, not too long ago..

I wish the government can do something for them..A fiscal plan that would make them less depending on the volatile commodity prices..Perhaps, encouraging them to engage in other things, diversifying their income away from just one source..Something that can last longer, instead of just another one-off monetary compensation....

I'm hoping the best for Malaysia..
